STAR Jalsha, the leading Bengali entertainment channel is all set to launch a light hearted prime time family drama -'Sansaar Sukher Hoy Ramonir Gune' that premiers on 22^nd August, 2011 at 9:30 pm. It is a story about an extremely adorable village girl Lakshmi. The simple and heartwarming storyline of the show will instantly draw the viewers and create a strong connect. This show subtly projects the role of human emotions and even in the most serious situations, would amuse and charm its viewers with a dash of fun and frolic without exaggerating the situation even for a minute.

Being set amidst the backdrop of a small village Bilaspur of Bengal, the show primarily revolves around Lakshmi who is an innocent, sweet, mischievous girl with the zest to live her life to the fullest. As the story unfolds, the viewers get to know more and acquaint themselves better with Lakshmi's life. Due to her mischievous activities, the villagers start addressing her as 'Alakshmi'. But, this does not stop her from living life the way she likes; she happily takes all these criticisms in her stride because she has already learnt to smile through tears. At an early age of six, Lakshmi lost her parents at a tender age of six and was brought up by her mama and unkind mami. While in her teens, she is forcibly married off to Sugoto the grandson of the village Zamindar Purna Das Mazumdar.
