publive-imageWith decent opening of KBC-5 and continued dream run of its popular fiction show Bade Achche Lagte Hain, Sony Entertainment Television has surprised all and outshined Colors to become the No.2 Hindi general entertainment channel in the week 34 of TAM 2011. The channel had overtaken Zee TV to grab No.3 spot in the last week. Two programs of Sony – KBC and Bade Achche Lagte Hain – have made it in top 5 list together for the first time. While KBC opened at 5.2 TVR, the show remained the 2nd most watched program in its opening week with an average of 4.5 TVR.

The top 5 programs for the week 34 (14-20 August) are Sathiya (4.8 TVR), KBC (4.5 TVR), Balika Vadhu (4.4 TVR), Pavitra Rishta (4.3 TVR) and Bade Achche Lagte Hain (3.7 TVR)

Riding on the premier of the movie of the decade AVATAR, India's No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plus has strengthened its position further by adding 20 GRPs this week. The channel has recorded 297 GRPs this week (last week 277).

The new No.2 channel Sony Entertainment Television has added 50 GRPs in the week 34 of TAM 2011. The channel has recorded 245 GRPs this week (last week 195).

Now at No.3, Colors has seen a marginal dip and registered 232 GRPs (last week 236 GRPs).

Zee TV has added a few GRPs this week to take its GRPs to 194 (last week 190).

SAB TV has recorded 128 GRPs (last week 127).

India's No.6 Hindi general entertainment channel Imagine TV has recorded 76 GRPs in this week (last week 71).

Star One has recorded 32 GRPs in week 34 of TAM 2011 (last week 36) and Sahara One has recorded 31 GRPs (last week 36).
