Mudra West a SBU of Mudra India has appointed Amit Kekre as Head, Planning. He will oversee the planning function of some of its biggest clients including Future Group, LIC, Godrej, Emirates, HCC, Lavasa, The Economic Times, Huawei, Femina and Philips-Electrolux.
Amit has more than thirteen years of planning experience under his belt. The last position he held was that of Vice President, Strategic Planning, McCann Erickson India where he had the mandate of amalgamating its unique Indian genotype to global best practices. Prior to that, he was Director Planning at Grey Melbourne and Area Planning Director at Grey Malaysia. In 2006, he was featured amongst 10 Best Young Planners: Across Asia Pacific by Media Magazine.
Starting his advertising career with Ambience advertising in 1996, Amit spent the first 4 years in account management working on the Marico account, thereafter moving to Lowe where he worked on the Unilever business before making the move to account planning in the year 2000. Amit has also worked in Planning at JWT, Ogilvy and Everest in Mumbai and brings a wealth of experience over a wide range of markets and brands to the table.
Amit obtained a master’s degree in Advertising & PR Mgmt. from the Institute of Mgmt. Studies, DAVV, Indore, 1996 and a bachelor’s degree in Science (Microbiology) from the Holkar Science College, Indore, 1996.
