Jagran Group has added a new language newspaper in its publications. Jagran Prakashan's 5th language daily is Punjabi newspaper which hit the newsstands today. Titled as “Punjabi Jagran”, the newspaper caters to the Punjabi population reading gurmukhi. The launch of the Punjabi Jagran was announced at a ceremony hosted by Jagran Prakashan in Chandigarh yesterday. The ceremony was graced by Dy. Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal where Jagran Group's CMD and Managing Editor Mahendra Mohan Gupta and CEO and Editor Sanjay Gupta presented the newspaper to the Punjabi reading community.

Printed out of Jalandhar and Ludhiana, the newspaper will be circulated across every district of Punjab; however the number of print run and cover price could not be confirmed by the time of filing of this report.

Jagran is promoting the highly ambitious launch across the media including TV, OOH, Radio, Print, Posters, Roadshows and a host of other local ground level initiatives running all across Punjab.

For the record, Jagran Prakashn's flagship Hindi daily Dainik Jagran has completed 10 years in Punjab and now its Punjai Jagran will compete existing Punjabi dailies Ajit and Jagbani.
