In a bid to foster an in-depth discussion mapping the various aspects of imparting quality education to students of B-Schools in India, Dainik Bhaskar Group is organizing the National Education Summit today at The Oberoi, New Delhi. The Union HRD minister Kapil Sibal is the chief guest at the event conceptualized by the National Government Vertical of Dainik Bhaskar Group.
Speaking at the occasion, Jaideep Dhagat, Senior General Manager and Business Head, National Government Vertical, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, “In modern day education scenario, flamboyant and flashy advertisements have become an integral part of the pattern followed by the leading B- schools. But in middle of all this, the quality of education is mostly put at stake. This leads to “production” of managers from such B-schools and not the “creation” of managers. In addition to this, there are several issues related to accreditation, course content and the quality of faculty available at the institutes, which bother the higher management of the institutes. Last but not the least, there is a lag in quality check, which would ensure that there is a justified quality for the quantity being produced.”
“For this, Dainik Bhaskar group is taking an initiative wherein we are bringing great leaders from the education sector, ministries and also the members of management of various B-schools from all over the country, under one roof, to discuss these issues and find a path to come over them. These leaders will share their view points and will show a path from which they got success and this will help creating a benchmark for various institutes to improve the quality of education they give,” added Dhagat.
Concluding his remarks, Dhagat expressed, “This way we look forward to help the institutes in bridging the quality gap. Also, we provide a platform for various institutes to share their issues and viewpoints and giving importance to the quality of education rather than producing quantity of managers.”
The main features of the event are presentations from renowned speakers, panel discussions, one to one meetings and interactive Q&A session.
