publive-imageCritically acclaimed family comedy film 'Do Dooni Chaar' will be featured as the opening film of New York Indian Film Festival 2011. The film was picked by Walt Disney India for distribution in August 2010, and thus became first live action Hindi feature film for the company. It is the directorial debut of Habib Faisal, produced by Arindam Choudhary under his Planman Motion Pictures banner. The film will be shown in Manhattan, where the festival will be held from 4th May to 8th May.

The movie has received high accolades by the critics and masses for telling a story of middle-class school teacher who tries to keep his wife and children happy and dreams of buying a car. It is also considered as the comeback of the yesteryear's bubbling girl Neetu Singh with her super romantic hero Rishi Kapoor.

Noted Film Director Rituparno Ghosh's film 'Nauka Doobi' will be the closing film of the festival. Based upon the novel of Nobel Laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore, this film will feature sister duo Raima and Riya Sen as the starcast. Aparna Sens'film ITI MRINALINI will be premiered as the Centerpiece selection. This Bengali film has both Aparna Sen and Konkona Sen Sharma (Real life mother-daughter) as a lead, portraying same title role at different stages.
