Colors Regains 2nd Spot From Zee TV; SAB Remains Ahead Of Sony

Star Plus stays below 300 GRPs for the third consecutive week.

publive-imageThe world cup is affecting genre share of Hindi GECs in a big way where the channels have together lost 34 GRPs in Week 10 of TAM 2011, though Colors, Sony and Imagine have seen a marginal rise in their GRPs. Unlike last week, Colors is back at No.2 position this week by replacing Zee TV but Sony couldn't regain its position despite a marginal gain.

According to the TAM data released for week 10, the No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plus continued losing eyeballs and remained below 300 GRPs for the third consecutive week. Star Plus has recorded 280 GRPs this week (last week 297).

Regaining its position back at No.2, Colors has garnered 231 GRPs (last week 225). Last week, Colors had lost 58 GRPs when Zee TV had overtaken the channel.

Back to its No.3 position, Zee TV has lost a few GRPs in the 10th week of TAM 2011. The channel has recorded 217 GRPs as compared to 233 in the last week.

There has been no change No.4 and No.5 positions this week despite SAB losing some eyeballs and Sony gaining a few more GRPs. SAB has outperformed Sony yet again to hold the No.4 seat. The channel has garnered 143 GRPs this week (last week 153).

Sony Entertainment Television has recorded 140 GRPs in the 10th week of TAM (last week 136).

The No.6 player Imagine TV has seen a marginal gain this week and garnered 73 GRPs (last week 75).

Star One has garnered 33 GRPs (last week 45) while Sahara One is at 29 GRPs (last week 30).
