HT Burda Media Ltd (HTB)—the 51:49 joint venture between HT Media Ltd and Germany's Hubert Burda Media-yesterday inaugurated its state of art printing facility in Greater Noida. The Chief Guest on the occasion was honourable Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni.

HT's partner- Burda Druck GmbH is a part of the Hubert Burda Media Group which is a 2.5-billion euro company engaged in publishing and Rotogravure printing with annual capacity of 330,000 tonnes of paper. It has its presence in various segments such as Print, Publishing, TV Channels, Radio, Mobile, Online, E-Commerce, Events, Direct Marketing, Promotions and Research.

Burda Druck GmbH prints some of the world's leading magazines, catalogues and brochures such as Elle, Playboy, Focus and Lisa, which reflects very high level of quality of printing.

This is the first Rotogravure printing installation in India; however, many large publications worldwide are being printed on Rotogravure for speed and quality. This facility is equipped to print large volume of magazines, catalogues, books for India and the rest of the world. The Pre press facility of HT Burda Media Ltd. is fully equipped to handle advertising campaign and magazine pre press work.

Two fully functional Rotogravure printing presses with paper back bindery have been established at a large facility in Greater Noida. The Pre press facility also located at the same premises is fully functional and doing work for Domestic and International customers.

Dr. Hubert Burda of Burda Media Group, said, “We see a great potential in Indian market when it comes to the huge demand.”

Addressing the gathering, Ambika Soni, Minister for Information and Broadcasting said, “I congratulate both the media houses on this path-breaking partnership and on behalf of the government I'd like to ensure Dr. Burda that his company will get all possible support from us. India, including Indian media, has maintained constant growth and this had continued even during economic slowdown. With the growing population in the country and rising literacy, prospects publishing have also become virtually limitless.”

Germany's ambassador to India Thomas Matussek was also present at the occasion.
