Star Plus shines; Sony still at No.2; Zee TV and Colors stable

Star Plus touches landmark of 350 GRPs while Sony loses eyeballs in Week 50 of TAM 2011

The 50th week of TAM 2011 has been a good one for India’s No. 1 Hindi entertainment channel Star Plus which is expected to close the year on a high note. Except Star Plus, no other GEC has been able to impress viewers much in this week.

The top 5 shows for Week 50 (December 4 – December 10) are Saathiya (7.0 TVR), Diya Aur Baati Hum (5.3 TVR), Balika Badhu (4.4 TVR), Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (4.3 TVR) and CID (4.2 TVR).

The No. 1 Hindi GEC Star Plus is set end 2011 on a high note having touched 350 points in Week 50 (last week 318).

Although Sony Entertainment Television has lost 12 GRPs this week, the channel has retained the No. 2 spot. It registered 228 GRPs this week (last week 240).

Colors has managed to hold on to its viewers and garnered 225 GRPs this week (last week 227). It had lost 50 GRPs last week.

Zee TV has been stable at 152 GRPs (last week 152).

SAB TV has lost a few points registering 117 GRPs (last week 120).

At No. 6, Imagine TV has recorded 77 GRPs this week (last week 77).

Star One has registered 40 GRPs (last week 39), while Sahara One has 41 GRPs (last week 39).
