publive-imageThe Citizen Journalist Show on CNN-IBN was honoured at the prestigious 16th Asian Television Awards 2011 in the category of Best Cross Platform Content for the second consecutive year. The awards function was held in Singapore on December 8, and is television's most celebrated event. It recognises excellence in programming, production.  and performance was held in Singapore on 8th December 2011.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, IBN18 Network, said, “The show has helped hundreds of citizens to raise their voice against injustice prevailing in society and thereby continue to inspire citizens everywhere to fight to revive an infallible justice system. CJ has been at the realm of CNN-IBN's philosophy of inclusive journalism and It's a true recognition and an honour for team CJ to receive this prestigious award.”

Besides, CNN-IBN's special report, 'Pakistan: The War Within', was commended in the Best News Programme category.

Additionally, the awards for Best General Entertainment Programme and Best Reality Programme went to India. While Sony's 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' season 4 produced by BBC Worldwide Productions emerged as the winner in General Entertainment category, Colors' 'Girls Night Out' produced by Miditeck got the Best Reality Programme award.
