WWI launches national event across 15 cities

The multi-city campaign to see students of Whistling Woods International educating the youth in media and communication

publive-imageEnthusiastic young students from Whistling Woods International - School of Communication (WWISOC) will be organizing a multi city campaign called 'Inspirations' that will start in Mumbai from November 25, 2011 and will travel to 15 cities across India. The aim of the campaign is to provide budding young minds with an insight into the media and communication industry.

Present for the event will be various professionals from the media fraternity namely Amer Jaleel, National Creative Head, Lowe India; Anubhav Sinha, Film-maker; Brian Tellis, CEO, Fountain Head Promotions & Events; Shabbir Ahluwalia, Actor; Mayank Gandhi, Active Member, IAC; Sanjay Khanna, Director; Manoj Bhatnagar – Producer; amongst many others. Subhash Ghai, Founder & Chairman, WWI and Prof Ujjwal Chowdhury, Dean WWISOC, would also be a part of the Panel Discussion along with other experts at the session where the experts will share their thoughts on how the media industry is ever changing and thus requires innovative, energetic and quality professionals. This creates a perfect opportunity for the students who want to enter this industry to showcase their talent.

Also during the seminar, young people who have made a remarkable contribution to the media and communication industry in a short span will be felicitated with the prestigious 'Young Communication Achiever' Award.

Subhash Ghai remarked, “This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about the media and entertainment field. The team of panelists will have a great deal to contribute and for the students to learn. Whistling Woods International is creating an amazing platform for students worldwide through this initiative.”

To make the entire event a complete interactive experience, the MBA Media & Entertainment students of WWISOC have announced a number of contests across colleges to bring out the creative side in youth. Prof. Ujjwal Chowdhury, stated, “I am extremely proud of the kind of responsibilities that our MBA students have taken up to organize the largest communication seminar- Inspiration, across several cities in India. The panelists invited by the students for seminars are absolutely top notch professionals from the field of Media & Communication and the students are going to learn a great deal from them.”

The multi city campaign will begin with Mumbai on 25th November at St Andrews auditorium, 2-6 pm followed by Navi Mumbai on 26th November at Bunt Auditorium, 5-9pm. Thenafter the team will travel to other cities like Indore, Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur, Guwahati, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata and many more. The seminar will effectively be utilized to discuss industry trends across various facets of Media like Journalism, Event management, Advertising, PR, Filmmaking, Animation, television etc in order to spread awareness regarding the growing demands for managerial talent in the Media & Entertainment sector.
