Vikram Chandra made Executive Director of NDTV

The Board of Directors of NDTV Ltd has appointed Vikram Chandra as Executive Director with effect from November 1, 2011, for a period of five years. He was promoted to Group CEO on August 1, 2011.

Chandra has been associated with the NDTV Group since 1994. One of India's leading news personalities and anchors, he presents 'The Big Fight', which has long been one of India's top rated news and current affairs programmes, and 'Gadget Guru', besides several other special shows.

Over time, Chandra has taken on various corporate responsibility roles of the group. In his previous role as CEO of NDTV Convergence Limited, Chandra had helped build the website and mobile business of the NDTV Group. During this tenure, NDTV Convergence turned from a loss-making entity into a profitable business. Earlier, as CEO of NDTV Networks Plc, Chandra was in charge of NDTV Group's foray into the non-news space, including the areas of entertainment, lifestyle and consultancy.
