Continuing with its, 'Jo Khaaye Kho Jaaye', positioning for over a period of five years now, the confectionery giant, Cadbury is yet again back with a new TVC for its chocolate bar, 5-Star. And this time they promise to tickle your funny bone, in a more humorous manner than before!
The last commercial of the brand in 2009, that had a storyline erupting from a phase of temporary amnesia because of the consumption of the Cadbury's 5 star, was a tongue-in-cheek public service message. On the other hand, the latest TVC of the chocolate bar has shifted its gears from the public service to a pure comical dig.
The film opens up on the two patrons of Cadbury's 5-star,Ramesh & Suresh, visiting to a near-by tailor shop set up in a small town ambience. While they instruct the master-ji (head tailor) to shorten the length of their father's pant, at the same time they end up digging in a Cadbury's 5 star entering to a state of short-lived amnesia. Eventually, the trouser gets altered to a shorts length!
Commenting on the creative, Abhijit Avasthi, National Creative Director, Ogilvy India said, "In the new TVC, we have dramatized the situation of the temporary amnesia. The idea was to take the same positioning forward and to leverage it to next level.”
The 45 seconds commercial has been shot by Prasoon Pandey of Corcoise films over two days time in Mumbai.
Going forward the TV campaign will be supported by a 360 degree campaign including print, radio, outdoor and digital.
