True to its promise of awarding the first MasterChef of India her own cook book, STAR Plus in association with the Landmark launched MasterChef India Cookbook.

With over 70 sumptuous recipes, Chef Pankaj's cookbook has a delectable mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies from around the world. Keeping in mind the unavailability of many international ingredients in our country, Chef Pankaj has ensured that anybody learning international recipes from this book can develop the same taste using locally available flavors in any part of our country. Apart from international recipes, the book also boasts of interesting variations to authentic Indian recipes.

Talking about her first cookbook, Chef Pankaj said, “Being a working mother and having lived in a joint family, I am aware of the kind of time constraints and pressure faced by today's Indian woman to please the demands of the different members of her family with her cooking. Keeping this in mind, the recipes that I have crafted for my book are simple yet classic, modern yet healthy. I have attempted to include different cooking techniques and an innovative combination of flavors that are easily available and will agree with the wide culinary diversity in India. I hope this book will be a handy guide to all cooking aficionados in India”

Congratulating Chef Pankaj at the launch of her new cookbook, Nitin Vaidya, Business Head, Hindi channels, STAR India said, “The success of MasterChef India season 1 has inspired a billion imaginations to attempt for a similar platform and that has been very apparent, in the response to season 2 of the show. MasterChef India has truly transformed Pankaj's life and brought her under the spotlight. She has become an inspiration to many aspiring chefs in the country. We wish her all the luck with this new milestone in her career.”

Pankaj Bhadouria, previously a teacher from Lucknow, shot to fame in the culinary world after she won MasterChef Season 1. She had quit her job of 16 years to participate in the show and pursue her passion for cooking. It has been a joyride for her ever since – Chef Pankaj has travelled the world, attended numerous culinary events, been a brand ambassador for many prestigious brands and even given cooking lessons at the Cambridge University. Earlier this year, the channel fulfilled its promise of producing a cookery show hosted by her by launching Chef Pankaj ka Zaayka on STAR Plus. With the launch of this cookbook, Chef Pankaj has now immortalized her sumptuous recipes in the culinary world.
