Partho aka Stanley bags international award

Wins the best actor award at the Schlingel International Film Festival which concluded in Chemnitz in Germany

Partho does it again! He won many hearts early this year with his superb performance as Stanley in his father Amol Gupte's film Stanley ka Dabba, and now he is on winning spree again! Only this time it is prestigious international awards. The film has been doing the rounds at different film festivals and has been appreciated by one and all. At the Schlingel International Film Festival which concluded in Chemnitz in Germany this Sunday, the 10-year-old won the best actor award from among 130 young actors competing in films from all across the world.

This isn't the only triumph for the film; Amol's film Stanley Ka Dabba has already won many prestigious awards like the Special Award Action Aid - Giffoni Film Festival, 2011 – Italy, Best Film Critics Award at the Jagran Film Festival, 2011 - New Delhi and also Partho's Best Child Actor at New talent awards – Mumbai.

Amole Gupte's debut film as a director Stanley Ka Dabba impressed the audiences when it released in May'11. With the future film festival screenings line-up, it looks like the film will reach out to much bigger audiences and will be riding high on awards.
