Dainik Bhaskar Group has announced the 3rd edition of India Pride Awards and invited entries from all central and state PSUs across the country. The entry forms will be accepted by September 20 while the award ceremony will be held in Delhi on October 21, 2011, at the Taj Palace.

This year Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, will be the chief guest. The event will witness the presence of CEOs of top PSUs and senior bureaucrats.

The first edition of the awards was conducted on October 9, 2009, by the National Government Vertical of Dainik Bhaskar Group. The second edition was held on September 13, 2010. The highlight of this edition was that in addition to Central PSUs, state PSUs were also honored.

From inception the property has been supported by SKNL, Videocon and Adani Group. This year also they have extended their support to the event.

When contacted, Jaideep Dhagat, Senior General Manager & Business Head, National Government Vertical, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, “We have gone one step ahead this year by inviting nominations for awards for ‘social change agent and impact creator – civil servant’. This category has been instituted in the belief that both the state and society have an equal role to play in nation building.  These awards are an extension of our annual recognition of Public Sector Units who continue to play a vital role in India’s economy.”

“The awards will recognize ‘Excellence in Public Service’ and the efforts of an individual or institution outside the government working on any issue that has sustainability and social justice as criterions. The award will also acknowledge the distinguished work done by a civil servant in the fields of rural development, urbanization, Healthcare, education and innovation in implementation,” added Dhagat.

Speaking on the promotion of the awards, Dhagat said, “India Pride Awards had caught a lot of attention in the past. Soon, we will launch a full-fledged promotional campaign in all our properties including Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, DNA, Business Bhaskar & Divya Marathi. India Pride Awards 2011 has also launched a dedicated website http://www.dbindiaprideawards.com.”
