After exiting from STAR India as Head, Planning and Presentation, in February this year, Shams Kabir has finally spilled the beans on his future plans. Named as Cutthru Integrated Services, the agency has been floated by a group of four that includes Sachein Shah, Romeen Yarkhan, Kenneth Rodrigues, and Kabir himself.

“We were doing a lot of freelance work for various clients, thus the thought of starting up our own agency crept into our minds. That's how the seed was sown,” says Kabir as he explains the trigger behind the launch.

The primary investor in the agency, Sachein Shah has made forays in to host of other areas including film production, printing, PR and Media etal. The company's latest offing is a movie starring Naseeruddin Shah, titled as The Bluberry Hunt.

The agency has established its first office at Mumbai.

Speaking to BestMediainfo.com Kabir explained that his agency would provide a 360 degree holistic approach to their clients starting from the phase of strategic planning including creative services, media services, PR and BTL activities.

“We will take strategic models into account and have put together a model called 'Clutter Cutter'. It is strategically more sound model to operate on,” avers Kabir.

He also mentioned further that with the higher level of enterprise taking place in the market, there are many small and midsized agencies that are aware of the needs of even big corporates. And today, talent is the primary key and what really matters in the race and not the size of the agency.

He cites by explaining, “We have procured a PR arm and bought a majority stake in it. Then we also have aligned with a company for the events. Thus the talent in our agency is at par with the top agencies.”

Currently the company already has a headcount of 16 with one major client in the kitty- Motilal Oswal.

Kabir also reveals further that in coming weeks, the agency is close on the heels of cracking some international deals estimated to be in excess of worth 15 crores.
