August 4, 2011:

publive-imageIt's time for foodies to embark on an extraordinary culinary journey with quirky Aditya Bal, as he comes back to the small screen with an all new season of 'Chakh le India- Kachcha Raasta'. In the fourth season, Aditya hits the road less travelled and explores the forgotten and undiscovered pockets of India in his hunt for authentic flavours. 'Chakh le India- Kachcha Raasta' will air every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00pm only on India's first lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times.

Giving him company on this food expedition is the new addition to the show, Aditya's backpack, his companion and his travelling kitchen rolled into one.

Each and every gastronomic gem that Aditya discovers on the way is finger-licking and delicious, redolent with the unique flavours of that region. From the famous Awadhi cuisine of Lucknow to the less known exquisite delicacies like Kakori Kababs, unravel a whole new world of food with Aditya. The show will provide authentic anecdotes about some of the most famous dishes such as the Dhansak of Navsari that was originally a meal meant to be eaten during the mourning period.

Announcing the launch of fourth season, Smeeta Chakrabarti, Chief Executive Officer, NDTV Lifestyle said, “We have received an overwhelming response for the last three seasons of 'Chakh Le - India'. This time we thought of offering something new to our viewers. Chakh Le India – Kachcha Raasta is all about discovering lost recipes and tasty secrets which have been passed down generations but are unfortunately, undiscovered. We are confident that our viewers will definitely find the new season interesting.”

Commenting on his association with the show, anchor Aditya Bal said, “My love for food has inspired me to take up this challenge to showcase undiscovered side of India. I have loved each and every episode of 'Chakh le India' from season 1 to season 4. Every place, every dish I cooked or ate was a unique experience for me which I'll cherish forever.”

This season of CHAKH LE - INDIA is all about discovering these little secrets as Aditya roughs it out and shakes it up in his search for buried culinary gems, lost recipes and tasty secrets which have been passed down through generations.  The show will telecast every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00pm.
