Everest Brand Solutions appoints Meraj Hasan as VP- Planning

He comes in here from Lowe Mumbai where he was handling Oral Care business of Hindustan Unilever.

Everest Brand Solutions has appointed Meraj Hasan as Vice President Strategic Planning. He comes in here from Lowe Mumbai where he was planning for the Oral Care business of Hindustan Unilever (Pepsodent & Close Up) for India and South East Asia.  He also led the Strategic planning on Idea Cellular.

Meraj brings with him 11 years of experience across India and Sri Lanka. Prior to this, he was Strategic Planning Head of Rediffusion – Y&R.   He was also actively involved in the successful launch of Bharti Airtel’s telecom operations in Sri Lanka. In his other assignments, he has worked on brands like Colgate Palmolive, Tata Sky, Tata Motors, Standard Chartered Bank, and Mahindra & Mahindra. He is a MICA alumnus with interests such as writing poetry, making music, photography and Single Malts.

Welcoming Meraj on board, Dhunji Wadia, President, Everest Brand Solutions said, “Meraj is no stranger to our group and I am confident that Meraj is the right planning leader to take Everest to greater heights. “ On his joining, Meraj said, “Everest, for me, happened over a series of conversations with Dhunji and Rahul, trying to understand their approach towards work and the agency. Their idea of working in a close-knit environment, to build strong brands by doing some robust and interesting work, drew me in.  And a longish visit to the office to feel the vibe, sealed it for me.” “I am delighted to partner the team at Everest in trying to do some great work, by instilling a strong culture of Consumer and Brand planning in an already colourful scheme of things.  And from what I’ve seen so far, I’m sure it’ll be a great ride,” he added futher.
