IBN7 launches Guru-Shishya Awards

IBN7 announces the inaugural edition of 'Guru Shishya Awards'. 'IBN7 Guru Shishya Awards' is an initiative to recognises the extraordinary contributions made by inspirational GURUS in the life of their outstanding SHISHYAS across different walks of life. The Awards are a felicitation of the everlasting bond between Guru & Shishya who have kept this sacred tradition alive. These awards will be given away in a grand ceremony to be held in New Delhi on Tuesday, 09 August 2011.

IBN7 will also telecast a Curtain Raiser Special on Saturday, 23 July 2011 at 10:30PM with a repeat telecast the next day at 2:30PM. The inspiring stories of these Guru & Shishya will be telecast in three special half hours shows on July 30^th, August 06^th & 13^th at 10:30PM with a repeat telecast the next day at 2:30PM. The Grand Finale will be telecast on IBN7 and CNN-IBN on August 20^th.

This first of its kind initiative will award the Guru-Shishya duo highlighting the achievement of the Shishya that has made the Guru proud. Be a part of this eternal celebration that honours India's most successful Guru & Shishya duos on one platform and salutes the everlasting bond of soul kinship.

The winners of this prestigious award will be selected by the IBN18 Editorial Board after rounds of deliberation. The IBN18 Editorial Board will pick up remarkable Guru-Shishya combine from diverse fields that include Sports, Entertainment, Business, Academics, Public Service etc.
