IBN18 in association with IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited (IRB) announced the winners for the 2nd Edition of the “Young Indian Leaders Awards” to honour the youth of the nation for their admirable work and commendable contributions. Their sincere efforts and subsequent achievements have aided in bringing a wind of change and pride to the nation. Young Indian Leaders Awards is a path breaking initiative by IBN18. The group has introduced many such awards honouring the citizens of India. In a glittering ceremony held in the capital, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State, Commerce & Industry felicitated the young leaders for their courageous endeavours.

'Young Indian Leaders Awards' in its 2nd Edition applauds the youth of our nation for their accomplishments, commitment to society and their zeal to contribute in shaping the future of India. These young leaders are a shining example and a source of inspiration for the entire nation. They personify exemplary courage, strong will power and a burning desire to overcome difficult circumstances to help the less fortunate ones. They come across from the length and breadth of India, and have worked for change in their own states as well as on a national level.

Indian Cricketer and a member of the World Cup Winning Team, Yuvraj Singh was given the Special Award for Outstanding Achievement, for his performance in the recently concluded World Cup. Over the last couple of years, he has seen the depths of despair and experienced the summit of triumph. However, the tide turned at the World Cup where Yuvraj experienced the greatest moment of his career. Not only did he perform superbly throughout the tournament but also played a key role in taking India to the crown after nearly three decades.

Sampa Arya, wife of sailor Ravinder Singh Gulia, 3rd officer on Merchant Vessel Suez who became the face of the campaign to 'Save our Sailors' received a Special Award for her determination towards humanity. Sampa led the group of families in knocking on the doors of Union Ministers, Chief Ministers and even the Prime Minister. Her fearless and relentless campaign forced the government to debate the state response to the piracy menace.

The premier trophy highlighted with Swarovski Elements, from Swarovski represents the patriotic zest of today's youth. Embellished with XILION – the next generation of crystal brilliance from Swarovski Elements, the national colours of saffron, white and green crystals illuminate the impressive 'Y' shaped trophy.

The grand finale of the award ceremony will be telecast on CNN-IBN, IBN7 and IBN-Lokmat on Saturday, July 9th @ 10pm, 8pm & 6pm respectively.
