After having vowed the nation for two years in a row, India's only and biggest platform for discovering hidden talent, India's Got Talent is back on COLORS. The sole purpose of the show is to find that masterpiece from India's heartland that will go on to become the pride of India just the way The Prince Group from Orissa and The Shillong Chamber Choir made India proud in the past seasons. Season 3 of the show will see Sonali Bendre and Kirron Kher returning to their esteemed thrones on the judgesâ panel. This time around, they will be joined by none other than Bollywood's evergreen superstar Dharmendra on the panel. Â Starting July 29th 2011, the hunt for the next magnum opus begins and viewers will be able to see all the action on Indiaâs Got Talent 3 which will be aired every Friday & Saturday @ 9PM only on COLORS.
The show has traversed across the length and the breadth of India to dig out talent from the deep burrows of India's heartland - talent which will not only entertain the nation but will also go on to become India's next pride. This season will see a myriad of artists and performers spanning a spectrum of talents. People who can create magical portraits from toasted bread to creating legendary moments with a stroke of the brush. Gripping malkhamb performers to edgy juggling and balancing acts that will keep you glued to your TV screens. Folk art will blossom in the form of bhangra, lavni and classical dance forms. Innovative performance pieces include shadow acts, UV acts, tap dancing and junior twirling to salsa music! And if that's not all, the musical acts this season are sure to turn India's Got Talent 3 into a talent hunt magnum opus with a large women's group playing the Sitar to the sounds of the duo violinists touching your heart.
Speaking about the show, Ashvini Yardi, the programming head of COLORS said, âIndia's Got Talent has a legacy of finding individuals and groups with unique and enchanting talents. In the past, the show has given India two gems in the form of The Prince Group in the first season which has since then gone on to make our nation proud on many international level events. The second gem was The Shillong Chamber Choir which charmed its way into peoples' hearts with their soulful musical stylings. This year, the search is on yet again to find a talent that surpasses both these groups. And to help us in our endeavor, we have none other than the very talented, evergreen actor with Greek God looks and a heart of gold, Dharmendra joining our other jury members gorgeous Sonali and graceful Kirron Kher.â
The show might have three judges but their agenda stays the same: combing the nation to look for Indiaâs next pride and honor from India's 150 crore plus population and bringing it to the fore. Talking about his experience, first time jury member and the evergreen actor Dharmendra said âa talent hunt made me who I am, so itâs my turn to help some other contestant chase their dreams. I feel we have so much talent in this country and very few ways in which they are being tapped. As a judge, I can empathize with their fears and apprehensions of contestants as I have been one. I am very excited to be part of Indiaâs Got Talent as this the perfect opportunity for me to connect with my fans in each and every part of the country through this medium.â The graceful Kirron Kher mentioned that âThis season we have returned with some such unique gems of human excellence in terms of performances and acts by individuals and groups. The India's Got Talent stage is synonymous with India at its creative best! And I am looking forward to some amazing new and unique talents who will take the legacy forward.âOn the other hand the gorgeous Sonali Bendre and the third time judge said, âThe talent every season only gets bigger and better! This season has not only raised the bar but also seen some meaningful and breath taking talent at the auditions.â
This season of India's Got Talent is going to be different in yet another respect. Tying the show together are going to be two new hosts, gorgeous model-actor Gautam Rode and India's favorite actor-singer-dancer Meiyang Chang. Both these boys have been the heart of India's Got Talent Season 3's auditions and have gone a long way in establishing a rapport with the judges as well as the contestants. Their infectious smiles and warm attitude will definitely strike the right chord with the audiences as well.
Anupama Mondloi, Head of Content, Freemantlemedia said, âIndiaâs Got Talent Season 3 has traveled to over 25 cities this season in search of a wide variety of talent. It promises to be a true representation of modern as well as traditional India with a vast array of talent that spans all age groups. The panel of judges including Dharamji, who is new this season, brings their unique brand of charisma to the show. We have two new hosts, as well, this season who will take the viewers on a crazy, fun ride. Fremantlemedia is proud to reveal all the fresh facets of this show that will come together to create magic on COLORS.
Over the last two seasons, India's Got Talent has been able to not only find great talent but has also proven to be one of largest platform for the millions of Indians. There has also been a stellar response of talent from the beautiful valleys of Jammu and Kashmir. The very fact that there's no cap on age or on the kind of talent being performed puts this show in a different league altogether.
