DNA, India's fastest growing English daily, is on the anvil of launching its sixth edition in the city of Indore on June 26, with a circulation of over 20,000 copies across the city.

Since its launch in 2005, the daily has gone from strength to strength and with this edition now has a total print run of over 1 million copies. DNA has always lead from the front editorially, and is today, the differentiator in all its editions, be it Pune, Bangalore, Jaipur, Ahmdeabad, Surat and its home base Mumbai.

The pillars on which DNA's news architecture is based on reporting and writing is on “honest news” and distancing itself form the virus of “paid news”, which is plaguing the news industry. DNA, in just over a month, will complete 6 years of ethical news reporting and has thereby gained a reputation, which has propelled it to the no.2 slot in 5 out of the 6 cities as per TR in IRS Q1 2011

At this occasion, Gautam Dalal, VP Marketing, DNA, said, “Indore represents the new frontiers that India is propelling towards growth all around. I am sure DNA will serve readers and advertisers well as it is in tune with their gung ho spirit.”

DNA Indore will be a premium product targeting the best and brightest of the city. From Rajwada to rain forests, from Chhapan Dukaan to Champs Elysees, from Treasure Island to Texas, DNA will bring to Indore local news that is useful, national coverage that informs and world events that excite. The product will be a single-unit 16-pager that will include local, national, world, business and sports. There will also be 2 pages of After Hrs -- which will capture the spirit of Indore with its feature coverage. On Sundays, DNA will be a 20-page newspaper, including a 4-page supplement of After Hrs.

The editor of the Indore edition is Sandipan Sharma, will be responsible for the daily content along with his team of journalists. Sandipan has been with DNA for over 3 years and has been a key member of the team that launched the highly successful Jaipur edition.

From Monday to Saturday it will cost Rs 2, on Sundays Rs 2.50. The targeted circulation will be about 20,000 copies, equal the combined total of existing English newspapers in the city. Advertising sales will be headed by Kshitij Chourey in Indore.
