Cannes Lions 2011: Minus Gold, 4 Press Lions for India

A Silver each for Ogilvy India and McCann; Grey and Mudra win a Bronze each.

After registering a history the other day, (grabbing a Gold Lions in Media Cateogary for the first time!), India’s show was further augmented by two silver and two Bronze Metals in the Press cateogary.

Ogilvy India and McCann Worldgroup has earned a silver each while Grey Worldwide and Mudra Communication have made it to a Bronze in the same cateogary.

The campaign for Mirc Electronics’s Ondia’s i21 Mobile named as 'City', 'Forest' and 'Sea' have been the entry for McCann’s win and Perfetti Van Melle India’s Mentos Sour Marble (Guillotine) campaign has made its way for Ogilvy india.

Mudra’s nomination for Blueprint campaign done for Union Bank of India has grabbed a Bronze with a smiliar metal followed by Grey worldwide for P&G's Downy (fabric softener).

However this year has been a ‘no Gold’ metal in this cateogary for India as compared to the count of last year’s Metals wherein India fetched one Gold and Silver Lion by Taproot India, Gold Lion by RMG Gurgaon, Silver by Leo Burnett and One bronze each by Bates 141 and Mudra DDB making the total count to six in the Press cateogary.
