Sony to lure women with Bade Achhe Laggte Hai

The new fiction show premiers on May 30, 2011 at 10:30 pm slot every Monday to Thursday.

With the majestic Taj Mahal shimmering in the backdrop of the midsummer moonlit night, Sony Entertainment Television proudly launched its most grandly mounted and ambitious fiction saga ‘Bade Achhe Laggte Hai… Yeh Dharti, Yeh Nadiya, Yeh Rainna Aur Tum’. Produced by Balaji Telefilms, the show explores the worlds of two different personalities – Priya Sharma and Ram Kapoor, who discover love accidentally after they come together through the institution of marriage. Premiering on May 30, 2011, for the first time Sony Entertainment Television brings together two of the biggest faces of Indian Television - Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar back on television in a never seen before love story of a middle aged couple.

Conceptualized and produced by television Czarina Ekta Kapoor, Bade Acche Laggte Hai is a unique love story with two extended families providing the backdrop and a story which is hugely relatable and immensely identifiable. The show will strengthen the prime time 10:30 pm slot for Sony Entertainment Television.

Bade Achche Laggte Hai traces the story of two strangers getting married and gradually falling in love. As their lives intermingle, the unique story line will explore the myriad emotions that surface after the marriage of two completely strange and different individuals and how it leads to a rock solid mature relationship build on understanding, trust and love.

As the story opens, we see a happy go lucky Priya Sharma (Sakshi Tanwar), an unmarried woman in her early thirties who believes that marriage has passed her by. Though she believes that a lonely, single   life awaits her, Priya continues to be a romantic soul who takes joy in relishing every moment and every activity around her. She is in her own beautiful world – happy and content with life. On the other hand Ram Kapoor (Ram Kapoor), an entrepreneur in his early forties, who believes he has crossed the age of marriage long back. Though extremely busy with the business he took over after his dad’s death and a doting extended family at home, Ram does not feel the need of a life partner. Yet, marriage suddenly comes knocking at his door. What happens when these two different personalities come together through the institution of marriage? How does love happen to them?
