Ford India announced the winner of its `All-new Ford Fiesta Photography Contest' at the Fiesta Café in Select Citywalk mall of New Delhi last week. The contest, which attracted huge participation, was open to all amateur photographers residing in India who shot the all-new Fiesta sedan at the Fiesta Café and tried to bring alive the experience.

The Fiesta Café is high-tech zone to connect to the new generation of young, urban achievers in India whom Ford targets as customers of the all-new global Fiesta – the latest B-segment premium sedan unveiled by Ford at the Café on April 14. The Digital Café plans to do so in many interesting ways. The display area in itself is unique – with technology aiding the effort through iPads, interactive touch-screens and a human-gesture-controlled 'fanwall'. The Café has and will continue to host other lifestyle and fashion events and video-conferencing with Ford technology experts.

The photography contest, which accepted entries from May 7 to 15, screened and selected twelve contestants. Photographs shot by them were uploaded on photo-sharing website Flickr.com on May 19th, 2011. The entries attracted huge interest with over 360,000 views in just 7 days. Visitors viewed and voted for their favourite photos.

Madhavan Pillai, editor, Better Photography magazine judged the entries along with senior Ford executives to select the final winner. -. The winner took home a cash award of Rs. 2,00,000. All contestants also received 32GB SDHC memory card as a token of appreciation for their participation The top 10 photos determined by online voting on Flickr are showcased at Fiesta Café.

"I am thrilled that my entry was adjudged the best! The Fiesta's amazing Kinetic Design, especially its aggressive front grill and its flowing lines were the inspiration behind my photograph. The stylish flowing lines give a new dimension to the car which looks like its ready to spring into action, like a sprinter." said Gaurav Chauhan, a Mass Communications graduate from Punjab Technical University who emerged  the winner.

Ford's Digital Café has been the hub of activities since the day of its launch. Apart from Fiesta fans and media, several bloggers and auto enthusiasts have visited the venue to have a glimpse of Ford's new set of wheels. Ford also organised `Toys for Big Boys,' – an interactive session with a Ford technology expert, for better connect with its fans here.

"Like in the new Fiesta premium sedan, we want the entire Digital Café to engage and elevate our customers through technology and the popularity of the photography contest shows that. We hope the Fiesta's new best in segment features like Voice-controlled interface, Cruise Control and class-leading fuel-efficiency will endear it to our customers in India." concluded vice president of consumer Marketing, Ford India, Anurag Mehrotra, who handed over the awards to the winners.
