However, Taproot will continue to handle the creative duties for Fox International Channels for the Asia-Pacific region.

Debarpita Banerjee, Vice-President, marketing, Fox International Channels, says, "We are sure that Grey will be able to keep pace with our growth targets and usher in innovative and refreshing brand solutions."

Says, Jishnu Sen, COO, Grey, "National Geographic is an iconic brand that gives fabulous opportunity to do superb work. To have this brand as part of our stable is a huge testament to Grey's repute. We are looking forward to terrific times and a long successful partnership."

In February 2011, the network had announced its plans to look for an additional creative partner as a result of the fast growth of the channel, with the number of channels having increased from one to seven new channels.

Early in 2010, Fox International Channels (FIC) rolled out seven international channels in India. Brands such as FX, NGC HD, NG Wild, Fox Crime, NG Adventure, NG Music and Baby TV are currently available through FIC, which is a subsidiary of the Fox Entertainment Group, a part of Rupert Murdoch's global media establishment News Corporation. The new launches, coupled with the two existing brands of FIC, National Geographic Channel and Fox History & Entertainment, add up to a basket of nine channel offerings from the network in India.
