CNN-IBN, IBN7 & IBN-Lokmat sweep NT Awards 2011
CNN-IBN bags 18 awards, maximum by any news channel, IBN7 with 2 & IBN-Lokmat with 10 awards.

CNN-IBN, IBN7 & IBN-Lokmat swept NT Awards 2011 with 36 awards. CNN-IBN won 18 awards, the maximum by any news channel. IBN7 continued its winning streak with 2 awards and IBN-Lokmat won a total of 10 Awards. The awards were held last night in New Delhi. The three channels have stood for being the nation's reference point for news in English, Hindi & Marathi respectively and have been the leaders in their respective genres.
Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, CNN-IBN, IBN7 & IBN-Lokmat, was named the 'TV News Presenter of the Year - English for India at 9' while Karan Thapar won the 'TV News Anchor of the Year - English' award for 'Devil's Advocate' and 'The Last Word'. IBN7's Zindagi Live was adjudged the 'Best News Talk Show – Hindi' for the third year in a row at the awards. IBN-Lokmat's flagship newscast anchored by Nikhil Wagle won the award for Best Popular News Show Marathi.

The NT Awards 2011 recognize the best in news television for the calendar year 2010. The awards are presented to channel programmers, anchors, presenters, technicians, producers, editors, reporters and management.
Commenting on the occasion Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, CNN-IBN, IBN7 & IBN-Lokmat, said, “The awards are a reflection of the channel's relentless efforts to challenge the limits of reportage.
