This December get geared up to take revenge / have the time of your life by setting up your dear friend on their most disastrous date ever! UTV Bindass now takes on the mantle to unveil yet another innovate offering from its stables â âDate Trapâ. A show that leaves both the participant and the viewer in splits, âDate Trapâ oozes of the fun quotient. Agreeing to play the evil cupid, on each episode two contestants will willingly contend to set up their friend on their date from hell, for a cash prize, thus leading into a hilarious showdown! Date Trap begins on 19th December at 7 pm every Sunday.
Itâs the pitch of two devious minds against each other judged by none other than uber cool and suave Gaurav Kapoor. The objective here is to see who can pull off a more creative prank on their best friend by setting them up their most nightmarish date. To put this into practice, in each episode two contestants will battle it out to set up their respective their best friend to go out on a date with - An Actor who is all out to make it the most disastrous date ever! Already briefed about the friendâs likes and dislikes, the actor will gradually ensure that the date leads to the worst date one could imagine. Once both the gags are over, Gaurav and the contestantâs put their heads together, and chooses the better âdate-breaker based on the originality of the idea, smoothness in execution and, of course, the impact it has on the victim.
Commenting on the launch of Date Trap, Nikhil Gandhi, Business Head, UTV Bindass said, âOur constant initiatives and research with the youth offers us the chance to create yet another pioneering concept i.e. Date Trap. Touted to be a reality show with a funny bone - courtesy anchor Gaurav Kapoor and the hilarious interjections on air, this reality dose allows the youth to take a dig at their close friends â while offering viewers a breather from their otherwise humdrum routine.â
DATE TRAP is being produced by UTV Content and co produced by Vishal Mull with inputs from Creative Director and Director Nishant and Vishal. The programme is conceptualized by the UTV Bindass Team, Head of Programming Shalini Sethi, Creative Director Huzefa Roowala and Executive Producer Richa Arora.
