publive-imageBharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. has appointed Scarecrow Communications Ltd.  as agency for Creating Customer Awareness for launch of New Retail Initiative. There was no formal pitch involved albeit the state-owned oil and gas companies in India has awarded the mandate to the agency looking at their Shriram Transport Finance Corp truck driver campaign.

Euro RSCG, Saatchi & Saatchi and Lowe Lintas are the other creative partners already working with BPCL.

Commenting on the development Monica Widhani, General Manager - Urban Retailing - Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. said “Me and my team really liked the Shriram Transport Finance Corp truck driver campaign released in first quarter of this year which was created by Scarecrow for Shriram Transport Finance.  We liked their thought process and attitude and wanted to work with them on some of our new launches in retail business.”

Elated over the win, Manish Bhat, Co-founder and Director, Scarecrow Communications said, “This is the most prestigious win for us. We will handle both below-the-line and above-the-line communication. The outdoor and print campaign for the brand is expected to be launched sometime next month.”
