Ex-Web18 GM Simran Sablok Joins FoodFood

FoodFood is India's first Hindi 24×7 Food Lifestyle Channel launched by celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor.

Simran Sablok, Ex-General Manager, Marketing, Web18 has joined India's first Hindi 24×7 Food Lifestyle Channel FoodFood. She has joined the channel as Head – Marketing. Celebrity Chef, Sanjeev Kapoor has yesterday announced the launch of his food channel FOODFOOD.

Sablok had left Web18 in July this year. She joined the digital arm of the Network18 group, in July 2009.

Sablok has more than 13 years of experience across online, hospitality and apparel industries. At Web18, she was responsible for marketing of online properties, such as In.com, Moneycontrol.com, IBNLive.com and CricketNext.com. She was also responsible for marketing alliances to create strong brand presence for Web 18 properties.

Sablok started her career in 1997 as a management trainee with Lintas and worked there for two years. Thereafter, she moved to Pizza Hut as marketing associate, and later joined KFC as senior brand manager. She was part of the team which re-launched the KFC brand in India.

In 2006, Sablok joined Café Coffee Day as General Manager - Marketing and helped the company to boost its visibility by establishing tie-ups with various brands. Prior to Web18, she was the head of marketing at Levi Strauss Signature (LSS). At LSS, her mandate was to build a strong brand presence, apart from increasing footfalls at various Levi Strauss stores.
