Disney XD Captures South India Market

Heads the pack in the Children Programming Genre with a whopping 22% catch amongst target audiences.

The new Superstar shakes up the South Indian market with blockbuster shows in the kids entertainment segment. Disney’s ‘RED HOT HEROES’ lead the Disney XD channel to the number one spot across South India in the kids genre beating competition with a whopping 22% catch amongst target audiences in the 4-14 years segment according to the latest TAM reports.

Disney XD garners leadership status in the South with shows like the original animated series: “Kick Buttowski” -- the 10-year-old thrill seeking dare-devil, hit comedy series among Tweens -- "Phineas and Ferb”, “Zeke & Luther” – two best friends with dreams of becoming world-famous skater boarders and "Aaron Stone", an original adventure series about a champion video game player who, in a popular game called Hero Rising, uses a crime-fighting avatar named Aaron Stone – at least until the game's billionaire creator asks him to become the real-life Aaron Stone.

Disney XD completes its first year in the India on November 14, 2010. The channel’s content is marked by themes of adventure, accomplishment, gaming, music and sports and continues to focus on creating world-class, award-winning entertainment with its boy-focused, girl-inclusive content for kids and tweens aged between 6-14 years.
