BIG Live Launches Marathi Television Awards

Open to all Marathi television Channels, ranging both entertainment and news.

Reliance Broadcast Network's experiential marketing arm BIG Live in yet another pioneering Intellectual Property offering, is proud to announce its latest property, the 'Marathi TV Biggies' an initiative to celebrate and salute outstanding talent from the culturally rich Marathi Television Industry. After the grand success of the recently concluded 'BIG Marathi Music Awards 2010', the multi-media company plans to launch India's first - ever Marathi television awards which is open to all Marathi television Channels, ranging both entertainment and news.

Marathi TV Biggies will have on board renowned and distinguished jury names from the Marathi television industry - Reema Bhadbhade, Kedar Shinde and Girish Oak who will ensure utmost transparency for the nomination process. These jury based awards include 20 categories that range Best Story, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Cameraman, Best Editor and more. The award function will also encompass Marathi news channels nominating them in Best Anchor and Best Daily News Show category. Out of the 20 categories, 17 finalists from the nominees will be decided by the judges, while 3 entries, namely Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Serial being open for popular choice through public voting.

'Marathi TV Biggies' will be promoted across the Marathi belt cities of Mumbai, Solapur, Gwalior, Indore, Baroda & Goa. The grand finale, scheduled for December 7, 2010 will witness a gala awards night graced by stalwarts from the Marathi television and entertainment industry and will be televised as a special program on television.

The property conceptualized and marketed by BIG Live, the experiential marketing arm of Reliance Broadcast Network Limited will see all media verticals of the company coming into play, to promote this property. The property will be amplified across radio 92.7 BIG FM, out of home - BIG Street, digital - BIG Digital and experiential marketing - BIG Live, honoring individuals from the Marathi television industry who have significantly contributed to take Marathi television to greater heights.
