BIG Broadcasting Appoints Arup Gopikrishna As VP Distribution

He comes in here from Pacenet; also worked with Zee, Walt Disney, and Aaj Tak.

Reliance Television Pvt. Ltd., the broadcast subsidiary of RBNL, has appointed Arup Gopikrishna to lead Distribution for the coming up slate of TV channels starting with the BIG CBS relationship. In this capacity, Arup will be responsible for the market penetration by entering into strategic distribution alliances with MSOs, DTH operators, and Commercial establishments etc.

Arup joins BIG Broadcasting from Pacenet where he was the Business Head. He joins BIG Broadcasting with a rich and extensive experience of over 19 years in the industry of CATV and Distribution. He will be reporting to Ashutosh, COO, BIG Broadcasting.

Confirming the new appointment Ashutosh said, "We welcome Arup on board and are optimistic that his domain expertise and past experience will help add great value to our efforts. He will be overseeing distribution of all the channels of BIG CBS Networks Pvt. Ltd at a national level."

Prior to his stint at Pacenet, Arup has worked with reputed brands like Zee-Turner, Walt Disney International, Zee Network and T.V.Today Network Ltd.
