Followed by a multi-agency pitch, Mindshare has won a big share of businesses from the house of Videocon. Mindshare will handle the media duties for Videocon d2h, Philips Television and Electrolux brands marketed by Videocon in India. The overall size of the business is pegged at around Rs.100 crore.
Confirming the wins with BestMediaInfo.com, Gowthaman Ragothaman, Leader, South Asia, Mindshare said, “It's a challenging opportunity for us to get into diverse fields of businesses one of which is emerging DTH market and another is fastest growing consumer electronics. We would go beyond mere media buying and planning to provide complete branding solutions.”
Adding further on road ahead, Gowthaman continued, “We have set up a dedicated team called Team Videocon for these businesses. Soon we would appoint a dedicated leader for this team.”
The incumbent agency on Videocon d2h and Electrolux brands is ZenithOptimedia while Philips brands are with Carat Media which will continue handling all the Philips products except television.
