Reality Lifestyle Show Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo Returns

Season 2 of the popular and award winning show will be aired in Tamil, Kannada and Telegu.

India’s most entertaining lifestyle reality show is back! After receiving an overwhelming response for its first season, Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo (Season 2) will return on air from October in South India. The shows will go on air in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and will allow consumers aspiring for ‘brighter living’ to team up with one relative to play a series of fun and innovative games in a home-styled setting.  Similar to last season, the grand prize up for grabs is a ‘Godrej Brighter Home’ from Godrej Properties.

The second season of the show is scheduled to air on Sun TV in Tamil Nadu, Udaya TV in Karnataka and Gemini TV in Andhra Pradesh. Consumers in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka can participate in the show by purchasing Godrej products and registering the purchased product through SMS or IVR. Consumers in Tamil Nadu can participate in the show by purchasing Godrej products and registering the purchased product through SMS and filling in the slogan “Godrej makes my life brighter because___” in ten words.

The show titled “Godrej Vazhvai Maattralaam Vaanga”, meaning ‘come, transform your life’, will air in Tamil Nadu from 03rd October 2010 (every Sunday from 11- 12.p.m on Sun TV). In Karnataka, the show is titled “Godrej Game Aadi, Life Change Maadi” and it will go on air from 2nd October 2010 (every Saturday 9-10.p.m on Udaya TV). In Andhra Pradesh, the show is titled “Godrej Dream Home, Aadaandi Life Marchukondi” and it will go on air from 3rd October 2010 (every Sunday, 9-10.p.m on Gemini TV)

Speaking on the occasion, Tanya Dubash, Executive Director and President (Marketing), Godrej Group said, “Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo, achieved overwhelming success in its first season. Last year, the show evolved from the premise that over 400 million Indians look to Godrej for products that are markers of a better lifestyle. Through the innovative format of the show, we were successful in reaching out to millions of Indians and creating awareness about the vast array of products in the Godrej portfolio. This year, our focus has shifted to the Southern part of the country as we see it as an emerging and high potential market to be tapped by Godrej. By bringing Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo to South India in Tamil, Kannada and Telegu we aspire to achieve similar levels of excitement and receive leading viewership for the show in the region”. Given the Godrej Group’s wide portfolio of offerings that covers everything from personal care to property and microwaves to moulded furniture, nearly 70% of a modern home can be furnished with Godrej products.

Following the format of season one, GKJJ South will entail 3 teams competing in the first round with only 1 team proceeding to face numerous innovatively conceptualised tasks. The winners stand the chance to win a wide array of products ranging from personal care to high end appliances like microwaves, refrigerators and furniture while progressing from one room to another. The show aims to test the compatibility, teamwork and lifestyle knowledge of its participants as they proceed to win the grand prize of a ‘Godrej Brighter Home’ from Godrej Properties!

Filled with enthusiasm and learnings from the first season, the second season of Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo will give participants in south India aspiring for a ‘Brighter Living’ a chance to make their dreams come true!

The exciting game show, after enthralling viewers, rose to the next level of recognition by winning Gold for “Best Campaign in Country – India” and “Best Brand Building Campaign” category pan-Asia at the prestigious PMAA- Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia or Dragons of Asia Award. The innovative campaign of “Godrej Play Win, Life Big” or “Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo”, was submitted by JWT and is the only entrant from India to win this honorable award this year.

The Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo campaign will now go on to represent Asia in the prestigious GLOBES awards, the longest running and most prestigious promotion marketing award program. The GLOBES awards recognizes the most outstanding and exceptional campaigns from programs run in North & South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
