Huawei Telecommunications is to launch its new range of mobile phones in India with ad spend of Rs. 200 crore.

Huawei Telecommunications India has selected Mudra Communications as its creative partner for its new range of mobile phones in India. The decision has come after a multi-agency pitch where agencies like Ogilvy, TBWA, Lowe Lintas, Bates 141, Saatchi & Saatchi and Percept/H were involved.

Confirming the development to BestMediaInfo.com, Hitendra Pakhtani, Marketing Head for India, Huawei Telecommunications India said, “After a rigorous evaluation of presentations by various agencies and a couple of round of discussions, we have selected Mudra Communications as our creative partner who will start working on our communication strategies in a month. Mudra will handle all of our creative duties including ATL and BTL.

Hitendra declined to comment on their ad spend but industry sources have pegged the account size at an estimate of Rs. 200 crore.

Huawei Telecommunications India is marketing and service arm of Huawei Technology. It was established in 2001- 02. Within a short span of time, Huawei Telecommunications India has gained recognition as a prominent vendor of high quality and customized telecom solutions, with quicker response to customer needs. Now the company is planning to enter the mobile phones market in India.
