Star Sports ropes in 15 sponsors ahead of IPL 2024

The roster of sponsors comprises Dream11, Asian Paints, Vimal, Thums up Charged, Havells, Joy Cosmetics, Dettol, Harpic, Vanessa, Amul, Groww, Rupay and HDFC Payzapp

Delhi: Star Sports has roped in 15 sponsors ahead of the Indian Premier League that begins today.

The roster of sponsors comprises Dream11, Asian Paints, Vimal, Thums up Charged, Havells, Joy Cosmetics, Dettol, Harpic, Vanessa, Amul, Groww, Rupay and HDFC Payzapp.

Last year, the broadcaster had roped in 13 sponsors.

A few sponsor names are common between this and last year. For example, Dream11, Asian Paints, Charged by Thums Up were sponsors last year as well.

The other sponsors from last year are Airtel, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Mountain Dew, Parle Biscuits, Kamala Pasand, RuPay, Britannia, Tata Neu, Jindal Panther and LIC.

Star Sports has partnered with Tata Play for addressable ads during IPL. 

Offerings ranging from customised feeds and flexible packages to influencer marketing, AI-supported Brand Studio, branded content and Startup Power Play, Disney Star is upbeat about the rise in reach and revenue from IPL 2024.

It will also be introducing a new Indian Sign Language Feed with descriptive commentary.

Recently, the sports channel brought on board Esports caster Ocean Sharma as IPL presenter. 

Star Sports has collaborated with YouTuber and content creator, CarryMinati aka Ajey Nagar. The 24-year-old Delhi-based creator has been signed as the new face of ‘Cheeky Singles’, Star Sports’ special weekly show that aims to capture the fun side of the sport. 

Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2024 IPL season-opener in Chennai on March 22.
