Delhi: After spending three years as a content and culture marketer at Spotify, Vineet Kanabar is joining Matrix Partners India as their Vice-President of Marketing.

He has worked for almost 19 years and has held various positions at different organisations like The Viral Fever (TVF), Wavemaker, PHD Worldwide, Havas Media, Bates, and Spotify.

Talking about his stint at Spotify, Kanabar said “Working in a world-beating cross-functional team that is changing the face of the Indian music industry has been an exceptional experience.” “Big changes need big appetites and big conviction. I'm excited about taking my experience in the content game to be part of what's next at Matrix, and the VC ecosystem,” he added.

Kanabar highlighted that he is stoked about collaborating with and learning from some of the sharpest in the business at Matrix Partners India.

In an early conversation with BestMediainfo.com, Kanabar shared that to devise the right content solutions for brands, one needs to concentrate on three verticals. First is the degree of creativity in the approach, second is the target audience and who you are influencing, and third is the content experience rather than just the content itself.

Kanabar joined The Viral Fever (TVF) in 2016 as Associate Director of marketing and was promoted to Head of Marketing in 2016. Under his leadership, TVF won multiple awards for TVF Tripling and Airtel Connect Love, etc. He managed a team of 19 people at the company. Before TVF, Kanabar was Group Head, Digital Strategy, PHD Worldwide.

Moving from TVF, he joined WPP-owned Wavemaker as Senior Director of content Partnerships in June 2019.  In 2021, Kanabar announced his shift to Spotify as a content marketer.
