After spending more than 10 years at Wunderman Thompson (formerly J. Walter Thompson), Joy Chauhan has decided to move on from the agency.

He is the Chief Client Officer – WT South Asia and Managing Partner – WT Delhi at the agency.

Chauhan is currently serving his notice period at the agency.

Chauhan currently heads the Delhi office which has historically been the largest office in the region and is responsible for the growth of the agency’s brands, people and business.

Earlier in March 2023, Chauhan was given the additional role of Chief Client Officer.

Of his 21 years in media and advertising, Chauhan has spent more than ten of them at Wunderman Thompson (formerly J. Walter Thompson).

In his various roles at the agency, he has headed the Delhi office, and Bangalore office and also had a stint as President in the agency’s Sri Lanka Colombo office.

His journey comprises several leadership roles, managing hundreds of people across multiple business units.

During his career, Chauhan has been instrumental in building many brands like PepsiCo, Hero, Airtel, and Nestlé.

Chauhan continues to be a student of behavioural psychology and a fan and follower of fitness and sports. Having done theatre in his early days, performing arts and poetry remain his favourite interests outside of work.
