Disney Star, the official broadcaster for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on both television and digital platforms, has recently added another sponsor - digital payment solutions provider PhonePe, to its roster for the upcoming tournament.

Star Sports has secured a sponsorship deal worth Rs 150 crore for TV advertisements from PhonePe, adding the brand to the expanding list of advertisers for the upcoming Cricket World Cup.

Disney Star, operating Star Sports channels and Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform, will broadcast the ICC World Cup tournament, featuring 10 countries vying for the coveted trophy. The tournament comprises over 40 matches.

Earlier on, Elara Capital estimated that Disney Star is expected to rake in approximately Rs 2,000-2200 crore this season.
