Winners of Star Reimagine Awards

Fevi kwik and Swiggy bagged awards at the Star Re.Imagine Awards announced on Monday. While Fevi kwik won the award for the Best Creative Campaign, Swiggy was felicitated for creativity along with the use of integrated media under the category Best Integrated Creative Campaign. The Fevi kwik’s ‘Khushiyon ke chand pal’ was conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather and Swiggy’s ‘No order too small’ was conceptualised by Lowe Lintas, Bengaluru.

The campaigns reached out to the biggest audience across TV and Digital during the recently concluded IPL 2018 on Star India. Additionally, 11 campaigns across nine brands received special mentions. These brands included Flipkart, Amazon, Coca Cola, Sprite, Brand Factory, Fevicol Ezee Spray, Dr. Fixit, Peter England, Vivo, Vodafone and Tata Sky.

Sanjay Gupta, Managing Director, Star India and Guest of Honour Mahindra Singh Dhoni felicitated the two winners with glass trophies designed by the grandmaster of British Glass studio, Peter Layton.

Stalwarts from across the Indian marketing, advertising, and media industry were present. The winners and other meritorious campaigns were selected by a jury comprising John Hegarty (Founder, Creative, BBH London), Piyush Pandey (Co-Executive Chairman and NCD of O&M India and Vice-Chairman of O&M Asia-Pacific), Raju Hirani (filmmaker), Vibha Rishi (Marketing Veteran, currently Non-Executive Director, Philips Lightning), Rahul Welde (EVP, Digital Transformation, HUL) and V Sunil (adman and Former ECD, Weiden+Kennedy). They evaluated over 300 campaigns from 125 brands that had played during IPL 2018 till May 25, on Star TV Network and Hotstar. The judges selected campaigns that excelled in both creativity and leveraging the power of multi-platform TV and Hotstar.

Dhoni not only did the honours to felicitate the winners but also held the audience spellbound with his reminiscences about how he had reimagined his life with cricket. Dhoni’s arrival in Indian cricket and his subsequent rise is a well-known and much-loved story of unprecedented success.

All great campaigns are a result of great teamwork. Hence the two winning teams of up to 24 members each from Fevi kwik and Swiggy comprising marketing, creative, media and others will be hosted at a global sporting event.

Over 125 brands were on board the IPL 2018 across TV and digital from various sectors like telecom, consumer durables (handset), retail and lifestyle, food delivery and restaurant (hospitality), e-commerce, online services, automotive, gaming, online payment wallets, paints and adhesives FMCG.
