Amazon Prime Video brings Inspector Chingum, a spin-off of Motu Patlu comic

Amazon Prime Video has got exclusive online streaming rights for the animated series ‘Inspector Chingum’, a spin-off from the iconic toon Motu Patlu, and is based on popular stories from Lotpot comics. The series is produced and developed by Cosmos-Maya.

Inspector Chingum revolves around the bonds of friendship and the importance of discipline rolled into a crime-solving series. Children can enjoy the adventures of Inspector Chingum and his assistants as they work together to make Shantiwood a No Crime City.

Inspector Chingum boasts of high quality 3D animation and packs both action and comedy. With a fun storytelling style, the show features funky rap songs by one of the pioneers of Indian rap, Baba Sehgal. Every episode will have a special song and this is one of the biggest highlights of the series. The series features an entire album of 52 songs created by singer and rapper Sehgal.

Inspector Chingum, the in-charge of Shantiwood Police station, hails from a small village and has a strong South Indian accent. Chingum is kind and helps everyone who requests his help. Chingum goes about performing his duties with a lot of enthusiasm. His misadventures make his character very comical, yet action-oriented. Chingum’s dream of making Shantiwood a Zero Crime City makes him a strong believer that without his consent; no crime can take place in his town. Chingum is faced by a vicious villain No Baal, who wants to takeover Shantiwood and its people. No Baal secretly owns the Crime University, which regularly dispatches villains every now and then to fight and defeat Chingum. Chingum is accompanied by his two assistants Hera and Pheri, along with Khabrilal, Chatur, Dosa Anna and Bozo.
