94.3 Radio One to unite people this New Year through ‘People United. India United’

94.3 Radio One India is launching a large ‘unity & harmony’ content initiative called “People United. India United”. The initiative is a New Year wish by 94.3 Radio One to all its listeners that encourage people to focus on the things that make us all the same and not the things that make us different.

Anil Machado, Chief Content and Talent officer, 94.3 Radio One, said, “This first-of-a-kind content initiative on Radio One called People United. India United is being supported by a huge number of celebrities that include Aamir Khan, Vidya Balan, Irrfan Khan and many more. They will encourage people to forget their differences and focus on the common things that they can come together on. The content in the month of January 2018 revolves around people who seem different at first but when you look at their background or religion or caste then you see that they do things that are common and for the good of the country. So there will be teachers, doctors, scientists of different religions and socio-economic backgrounds but who come together to meet their combined contribution to Indian society.  This sends a strong message of unity and harmony. We will amplify the content to peak on January 26, our Republic Day.”

The in-house band of 94.3 Radio One called #TheRadioOneBand has created a special original song and video called ‘We’re Just People…United ’ to spearhead the social media promotion. The song which already has over 25,000 views can be seen at
