HUL is seventh most innovative company in Forbes list

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has been ranked No. 7 on the Forbes list of “The World’s Most Innovative Companies 2017”. That makes HUL the No. 1 India brand in the list. Two Indian companies, HUL and Asian Paints, have been featured in the top 10 most innovative companies in the world.

The rankings are based on, what the US business magazine calls, an innovation premium (IP), the difference between a firm’s enterprise value and a net present value of cash flows from its existing businesses. These are companies that are innovative and are expected to continue being innovative in the future.
