Disney Media Distribution will have the international rights across all media for productions resulting from the collaboration between ABC Studios International and Australian production company Hoodlum Entertainment. The two content companies have signed a worldwide first look deal, cementing their existing partnership and stepping up their international development and production efforts.

In this newly formed pact, ABC Studios International and Hoodlum will develop new content for the global international marketplace, including the US. This deal follows the partnership on the new drama series ‘Harrow’ which will be filmed in Australia this year. It is the story of brilliant forensic pathologist Dr Daniel Harrow, who may also be a murderer. The two companies collaborated previously on the US version of the Australian hit Secrets And Lies.

The venture will be run by Keli Lee, Managing Director of international content and talent, ABC Studios International, based in London and Tracey Robertson, CEO, Hoodlum, based in Disney Studios at Burbank in Los Angeles and Nathan Mayfield, CCO, Hoodlum based in Brisbane.

According to Lee, “This collaboration with Hoodlum marries us to a highly-respected content company with a track record for producing quality programmes for worldwide distribution. This stems from our strong relationship with Robertson and Mayfield at Hoodlum Entertainment.”
