Sanjay Tripathy has quit HDFC Life as SVP, Marketing, Analytics, Digital and E-commerce. His last working day is Friday, April 14, 2017. According to sources close to the development, Tripathy is starting his own venture.

Confirming his exit, Tripathy said, “With more than 12 years at HDFC Life, I forged an intrinsic relationship with the brand. Having joined when the brand was at its nascent stage, to changing the very perception in the way customers looked at HDFC Life, I helped the brand grow into a distinct, strong and dynamic leader in the insurance sector. Leveraging my prior experience at GCMMF, PepsiCo, Mattel and Reliance Communications, I was able to lead the HDFC Life brand to pioneer the digital and direct sales space and to harness analytics, making it a necessity for achieving customer delight. From launching new and unique ad campaigns like ‘Memories for life’ to launching innovative products like HDFC Life Cancer Care, my journey at HDFC Life has been an exciting, fruitful and rewarding one.”

Tripathy has 24 years of experience in managing large businesses and setting up successful e-commerce, direct to customer, franchise and other traditional verticals, turning around loss-making ventures / brands and changing businesses / brands on their head. Tripathy has worked at various marketing positions with Reliance Communications, Mattel, Frito-Lay and GCMMF in his 24-year career.
