The Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity that started on September 21, 2016, is all set to be an exciting advertising awards event. Spread over three days, the festival has already announced the shortlists for most of the categories, while all the awards will be given on September 23.

In the Design category, India has two shortlists. The first one is for Rediffusion Y&R's Dipper Condoms campaign for Tata Motors and the second is for McCann Mumbai's 'The Dancing Letters' campaign for Maharashtra Dyslexia Association.

The Direct category has a total of nine shortlists. Leo Burnett has four shortlists – three for HDFC Life's 'Memories for Life' campaign and one for Olx' Reuniting Memories from 1947 campaign. JWT has three shortlists – two for Blood Banking campaign for Indian Red Cross Society and the other for Amarchand / Optical Bazaar.com for Test and Drive campaign. Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai has a shortlist for the #GodSaveTheOcean campaign for Sprouts Environment Trust. BBDO India has a shortlist for P&G's Ariel Matic's Dads #ShareTheLoad campaign.

Entertainment has two shortlists. One for BBDO India for P&G's Ariel Matic's Dads #ShareTheLoad campaign and the other for Publicis' A Giant Story campaign for Ambuja Cement.

There are eight shortlists in the Films category. Two shortlists went to BBDO's campaign for P&G's Ariel Matic's Dads #ShareTheLoad; one for Publicis' Giant Story campaign for Ambuja Cement; Entertainment Network India for Radio Mirchi's campaign 'Rudaali' by McCann India. PNB MetLife Insurance Magician campaign by McCann India too was shortlisted. There were three shortlists for Ogilvy & Mather's 'Make Love not Scars' campaign.

Healthcare witnessed 11 shortlists – two for Rediffusion Y&R for Tata Motors' Dipper Condoms, two for JWT for Indian Red Cross Society's Blood Banking campaign, and seven shortlists for Medulla Communications. Three of Medulla's shortlists were for GSK's Zentel 'Slums for Worms' campaign, one for J&J's Concerta and three for Indian Association of Palliative Care's Last Words campaign.

There were no shortlists from India in the Innovations category.

Media witnessed 10 shortlists: two for Mindshare Mumbai's 6 Pack bond for HUL's Brooke Bond Red Label Tea, another one for Mindshare Mumbai for HUL's Lifebuoy – Help a Child Reach 5 – Chamki the Future Child. Mediacom had two shortlists for P&G's Ariel Matic's Dads #ShareTheLoad and one for P&G's Ariel – Lessons for Dads. Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai has a shortlist for #GodSaveTheOcean campaign for Sprouts Environment Trust. PHD India was shortlisted for HUL's Hand wash – the story of an unborn child – Chamki and two shortlists for Swachh Aadat, Swachh Bharat.

Outdoor saw seven shortlists. Ogilvy & Mather has two shortlists for Philips India's 'Cycle' and 'Aeroplane' campaigns. Taproot Dentsu bags a total of five shortlists. Three for Dulux Paints campaigns, Olive, Orange and Cherry. The agency also has two shortlists for Best Newspaper Works and Radio Works in Outdoor for 'Indian Outdoor Advertising Association.'

There were nine shortlists in PR. One shortlist from BBDO India for P&G's Ariel Matic – Dads #ShareTheLoad case study, three shortlists for Leo Burnett for Bajaj V's 'The Nation's Bike' and two for Leo Burnett for Olx' Reuniting Memories from 1947. Ogilvy & Mather had one shortlist for 'Beauty Tips by Reshma' Make Love not Scars, SapientNitro had one shortlist for SapientNitro's Troublemakers and one shortlist for Publicis' A Giant Story campaign for Ambuja Cement.

Print and Outdoor craft too had nine shortlists. Three were for Ogilvy & Mather for School of Life's Uncle Test, Driver's Fingers, Neighbour's Hands, another three for Oglivy & Mather for Philips's Cycle, Aeroplane and Boat campaigns and lastly, three for JWT for Neurology and Sleep Center's Fisherwoman, Mechanic and Milkman campaigns.

Print and Publishing had four shortlists. Two for Oglivy & Mather for Philips's Aeroplane and Boat campaigns and two for Taproot Dentsu for Best Newspaper Works and Radio Works for 'Indian Outdoor Advertising Association.'

Promo and Activation had eight shortlists. Two shortlists for Leo Burnett for Olx' Reuniting Memories from 1947; two shortlists for JWT for Indian Red Cross Society's Blood Banking campaign; Rediffusion Y&R for Tata Motors Dipper Condoms; FCB Ulka for Door Step School's 'The World's First Streets Named After Slum Kids' and two for BBDO India for P&G's Ariel Matic – Dads #ShareTheLoad.

The Radio category had five shortlists. Contract Advertising had one for Truecaller 'Nokia' campaign. There were two shortlists for L&K Saatchi & Saatchi and LightBox Films Mumbai for Thomas Cook India's Senior Citizen Holiday plans Man and Woman. Two shortlists for Grey Worldwide India Mumbai for Radio City 91.1 FMs CSR campaign Candy Class.
