Glenfiddich India organised a virtual reality distillery tour for the first time in India at the launch event of 'The Mavericks', at The Westin, Gurgaon, on August 31.

Glenfiddich had launched a distillery tour for whisky enthusiasts, who visited the famous Glenfiddich Dufftown distillery using ground-breaking virtual reality (VR) technology. The VR experience, called 'Journey into the Mind of the Malt Master', highlighted the mastery and craft of single malt whisky production.

Users were taken on a 360° journey by soaring above the Speyside countryside and from there they plunged into the distillery. They were given a unique perspective from inside a mash tun as steaming copper pot stills slide past, fermenters drop down and thousands of casks in the warehouse build up around them. Hosted by a Scottish guide, the Glenfiddich stag made a memorable appearance or two.

Glenfiddich is a single malt Whisky owned and produced by William Grant & Sons Distillers Limited, an independent family-owned distiller founded by William Grant in 1886 and still controlled by the fifth generation of the family.
