Helpchat, an AI-powered personalised transactions platform, has tried to get across the message about safe driving habits through its Father's Day commercial. The ad made by Ogilvy & Mather talks about the need to wear a helmet while riding a bike, through a father-son duo.

While other ads that came out on Father's Day celebrated giving something to the father, Helpchat's ad breaks the norm. In the ad, the father helps the son realise the importance of wearing a helmet.

The commercial begins with a father learning how to ride a motorcycle. The scene then cuts to the house where the father is waiting for his son who has forgotten to take his helmet. The son walks in and the father invites him to sit down beside him. The father then shows him a video of himself doing stunts on the motorbike. The son starts worrying for his father's safety. Realising that his father goes through the same anxiety every time he doesn't carry a helmet, the son promises to carry the helmet every day.

Speaking about the commercial, Kali Charan Shukla, VP Marketing, Helpchat, said, “Asking riders to wear a helmet is not new but the way the insight is manifested by Ogilvy is truly heart-touching.  While Helpchat is India's biggest AI powered commerce platform, personalised for you to make the right decisions for your needs, as a responsible personal assistant platform we also help you make the safe decisions as well.”

Sukesh Nayak, ECD, Ogilvy Mumbai, whose team conceptualised the idea said, “Youth of today cannot be taught, they are far more aware and have even stronger judgements. Yet road rage and accidents are common and youngsters are being reckless while riding. The thrill blinds them to see the pain their parents will go through in case of any injury to them. But if we state this as it is, they will never listen to us. So we used the opportunity of Father's day to make them 'realise' this.”
